Walking History Tour: Rudolf Paetzold

Killed by the fascists on 16 January 1944.

Walking along the street bearing the name of the poet Simon Dach, now known as The Street for bars and clubs in Friedrischain, my attention is drawn randomly to a metal plate apparently anonymous. At number 33 of this street, now alive, colourful, and moving, once lived Rudolf Paetzold, a rebel soldier who paid with his life for his firm opposition to the Nazi regime at only 25 years of age.

Keywords: simon dach, friedrichshain
